It's just fine. As I mentioned before, All f/2.8 Elmars and all the
f/2 collapsibles do not retract as far as the early f/3.5 Elmars.
As I mentioned previously, only the 90/4 Elmar collapsible (the old
one, not the new macro) is questionable. I don't have one available
to test, but I think it extends furthest into the body when retracted.
So all other collapsibles are fine. All. And maybe the old 90/4 as well.
On the other hand, if you've collapsed your Noctilux by driving a car
over it, things might not be OK whether or not you're trying to mount
it on the M8.
