Hi Len,

I'm absolute agree with your opinion, and you are absolute right with my
approach giving a value to the compactness and the filter size.

In fact I'm not a great user of the 28, I use much more the 35 and the 21, I
use only the 28 on the Tri Elmar, and maybe this is the reason why I do a
few use, the Tri Elmar is big and has a slow speed F4. Anyway for my style
the 28 is in between the 21 and 35 and I can leave at home the 21, but no
the 35.

Thanks for your opinion
Saludos cordiales
Luis

Hi Luis,

I only have the last, pre-asph Elmarit. It is an extremely fine lens and
gives beautiful images at any aperture. But I suspect the new asph lens is
fine as well. It is doubtful you will see any difference to the older lens
unless you take photos of lens charts. It sounds to me you would like the
newer lens for it's smaller filter size and compactness. I would not worry
about buying either one.

Best Regards,
Len
