No, actually I think the collapsible 90 Elmar is the lens that 
protrudes furthest into the body when collapsed. The other lenses are 
definitely OK to use on the M8. I'm referring to the old, 60's Elmar, 
not the new Macro-Elmar.

I really shouldn't state that the collapsible 90 Elmar protrudes too 
far; I don't have one and don't know that it would cause problems but 
it does protrude further into the body than any collapsible 50. I 
don't know of any other lens that can cause a problem. Even the 
21/3.4 SA and the Hologon are fine; I've checked both.
