The monitor I am using is not good enough to show the bands. But another
question is this: Could this be light leaking through when you are loading
the camera ?
1. The felt light traps could be leaking light.
2. Light striking the edge of the film can be "piped" through just like a
fiber optic.
But once again, I will implore you to buy a film trimming template and
trim the leader with a long tongue for the Leica III. You can damage the
shutter curtains while loading film with the short tongue that is used today.

Thank you very much to all who have gave your opinion: John Biava, Neal,
Jim, Mark, Robert, Mike, Len, Ric, Hoppy, Daniel... I want discard some
possible defaults:
- The bands are visible on the film
- I always use the same films and the same Lab, there is no reason that this
problem arrive only with the IIIF
- No x-rays, and neither no exposed to the sun
- No scanning problem, if so, why only this problem with the IIIF?
My conclusions are, probably is a curtain deffect BUT on this case all the
film will be affected, for this reason I think as most probably reason to a
deffect when training the begining of the film, I remember that the axis of
the training spool is not well fixed, and it moves, I don't know if it is
normal, I don't think so. It is very probable that when I start a new film
the axis moves and varies its position, after some shots it has a certain
volume and remain quite and fixed. I will unload the camera and observe some
experiments and compare with other IIIF on a local shop.
Thanks a lot for all your responses and your help, anyway, I'm sure that a
good CLA will be better.
Anyone of you know if the rangefinder contrast (for focusing) could be
replaced?
I think that in Europe I can obtain a good CLA by Lutton, or Malcolm Taylor,
but previously I want to do my experiments...
Thanks again,
Saludos desde Barcelona
Luis
