The 20D is an 8mp camera, but compared with the 5D it has a smaller
sensor by a factor of about 2.5 (somewhat less than 1.6 squared). So
a full size sensor such as the 5D would need about 20mp to have the

That means that if I take the 560 telyt and shot the same subject
with the 20D and the 5D, and then crop the 5D image down to the same

This means that shooting with the 20D gives me a small resolution
advantage for telephoto shots. Also it's smaller, lighter, faster,
and I can get more shots on a card. :-)
The 5D is better for normal and wide shots, for dof control, low
light etc, but the 20D has its place.
