(again!), and Douglas's and Ric's are great, too.
I'm genuinely humbled by your praise, Brian - it's probably my personal
favourite of the year, but it's still very, very nice indeed to hear praise
of it amongst such an august group!

Subject: [Leica] November contest winners
The judges have finished their evaluation of the November 2006 LUG Photo
Contest entries, and I have combined their work to tabulate the winner. All
of this work is done quite privately. None of the judges knows who any of
the other judges are, and I tabulate the results without looking at the
photographs to which those results apply and without knowing which numbers
come from which judges.
The results can be seen in http://contest.leica-users.org/v/0611
Summary:
1st prize: Montie Talbert for "Steps from Antiquity"
2nd prize: Douglas Sharp for "Young Herring Gulls"
3rd prize: Ric Carter for "Early morning surf"
Honorable mentions: Montie Talbert, Nick Roberts, Neal Friedenthal
My own personal runaway favorite was Nick Roberts' entry "Jolly boating
weather", but I don't get a vote.
Montie, if you win first place again soon, I'm going to have to ask you to
take a break to let others have a chance......
