I'm with you Henning..... I keep looking for something that actually changes 
with the coding...   To date, only marketing info..
nothing that has been confirmed by actual user testing......

If someone had a coded lens, a bit of black tape COULD be used to mask off 
the coding,,,, or as someone said, turn the coding off...
but I am not so sure this is as accurate a test....

I'm still not convinced the coding is worth the trouble for anything 
except EXIF data.
