Understand that if the s/n are below 1m - they have the radio
lens element
supplied by an UK company
I have the Pentax Super Takumar 50/1.4 first series that also
has a radio active
element - its in M42 mount - you can read about this in an
article by Mike

Joseph,
Your question is an interesting one. I do not have a Geiger
counter, but might be able to find one. Looking through the lens at a
white surface and comparing it to my DR Summicron, does suggest that there
is a slightly yellow cast. The photo in the hanger also seems to have a
slightly yellow cast, I do not seem to be color blind, but just ignored
it. These findings suggest to me that it is a "hot" lens. Perhaps I will
only take B&W photos with it. Who knows, it may even photograph clouds
better. Thanks for looking and commenting.
Lee
