[Leica] LUGgers hit by Hurricane Katrina

I was wondering how they were going to get folks out of the Dome too.  
Apparently, it has a helicopter landing pad (who knew?).  They plan on using 
that and then loading buses to Houston.  The problem is that they then have 
to figure out how to get the buses filled with those folks around the 
portions of I-10 that have been demolished.  You're right, it will be messy. 
 

I wish everyone dealing with this disaster the very best - all remain in my 
thoughts and prayers.

I wish I could stop watching this on TV. Looters running loose on Canal St, 
Poydras,St Charles. Grabbing food is one thing, but breaking into jewlery 
stores and people's houses? I do hope they get theirs.
 
I can't see how they can evacuate the Dome. That's going to get messy.
 
May be months before we get back into New Orleans. I hope I have something 
left by then.

Thanks, but it is not a situation. It is a monumental disaster.

Desperate may be a better word. The major shelter is going to be 
evacuated; lack of sewer, lack of water. No communications, no power. Police 
cars 
running out of gas. Looters running free.
