Subject: [Leica] Costco and film - NOT

It will be interesting to see how the quarterly numbers look for Kodak.
They shipped a lot of digital cameras in the fourth quarter but I am not
sure how many were sold. Also, third quarter numbers were hyped by
large shipments of co-branded Lexar media cards: lots of reported sales
with lots of unsold overpriced media still on the shelf.

With the film business self destructing and digital sales iffy, printer
sales not yet on the map, and the commercial lines under attack by every
other player in digital I think Kodak will be taking another write off
to show growth and progress...

Not only are the cutting Kodachrome processing but now charging the
smaller
dealers to pick up film because they don't do enough to justify the cost
of
picking it up. So my dealer is doing the same. If you want Kodak
processing for whatever reason then they will sell you a mailer. Sigh.
