[Leica] Community Photo Project ideas

I was asked to come up with a community based photo project and I need some 
ideas.  The basic concept is a project where the community (Brooklyn) 
actively participates, is served by, and is better as a result of.  Simply 
having an exhibit where the public is invited isn't enough.

Any experience and ideas would be appreciated.
