Daniel,

Very interesting. I wonder if there is anything on Thersa Wallach...she and
another woman rode the entire length of Africa (7500 miles) on a Panther
motorcycle in 1935 w/o a compass and a gun. Her description of the ride is
in her book  "The Rugged Road" Theresa finally gave up riding her motorcycle
in 1997 at age 90. I knew her in the 60's when she had a BSA shop on the
South Side of Chicago. Very exciting life.   Jon
