Yes it was a stupid question, but as usual, it brought out a lot of
good responses, and especially, why it was a stupid question. Most of
us have asked stupid question, and learned from the steamy responses.
I just hope that everyone who gets hammered by the responses doesn't
go away because of them. They just might ask another stupid question
that helps a lot of people. Also, it introduces newbies to a certain
level of roughness that the LUG displays at times towards any member,
not just newbies.
As usual, shy or sensitive people can use the archives to arrive at a
basic understanding of what might be considered stupid questions. In
fact, every new subscriber should go through a half-hour search
session in the archives, with one of the search criteria being
'stupid'. One could learn a lot.
