The early ones just had a tripod hole in the middle. When he started
making the grip about 3 years ago, he started putting a hole in the
end as well. If yours is the old type, send it to him and he will
make it tripod (and grip) friendly. If you buy a grip as well, he
might possibly move the whole order up closer to the present. :-)
Just not in the next 4 weeks, as he is off to Europe.
