While I know well your point B.D.; I also still feel the need to distinguish between a real photograph - meaning that light exposed a light sensitive emulsion coating on a substrate which will hold the image when developed and fixed for a goodly long time.
as different from a digital capture; which, until printed, does not exist, except as a code which requires powered hardware and software to manifest in a manner which can be viewed.
Not looking for flaming or huge discussion - just an old guy who intuitively knows what a real photograph feels like.
