I got the Bugbear virus last night from Loehndorf, and my daughter got two
virus messages from LUG subscribers (probably from my machine).
My machine is now cleansed, using the Symantec tool which you have linked.
This virus had obviously gotten ahead of my Norton updates, my first such
experience.

Subject: Re: [Leica] Viruses from the LUG?
My firewall software detected a:
W32/Bugbear@MM
in letters sent from accounts:
abridge@panix.com
wp.loehndorf@globalsign.net
Conclusion is: knowing the way this virus spreads itself, the real
virus source is person, who has both those email addresses in their
addres box and is running a Windows machine with Outlook. Please,
anyone who might it be, check your computer. This is a valuable clue :)
Here is a Bugbear removal tool:

Have a nice hunting! :)
