Yes, and we are still living in caves and eat edible roots. Ask Mike Durling for details :)
2CR5 are hard to buy outside cities :) And at the midnight. And when you need them.
And they tend to stop working when I need them most. Long exposures drain them
to death. Also, they don't work well in winter (e.g at -10 degrees Celsius).
Also electronics in cameras generally tend to act strangely when water finds
even a little way inside them. And so on.. :)
For me, ability to shoot without batteries is important. And *please*, don't
talk about my Minilux as a counterexample :)

Oh yes, and I do use a digital camera from my company sometimes:
