Heck, when I went to the University of Toronto, tuition was $535 a YEAR!
And back then, the Canadian dollar might have actually been worth more than
the American! I remember in 2nd year a bunch of us ganged up on one of
our professors and complained about the cost of a textbook ("Classical
Mechanics" by Goldstein, cost $16).
But that was a different century.
