Tom,
I like the first shot. The tablecloth has a nice pattern, and it
leads one's eye right to your main subject. The foreground objects add a
little information to the story this tells, but the expression on her face
is priceless. I think you could crop a bit off the top, get rid of the
added distraction above the bench.
