Allan,

Just to pick a nit, that's 'rappelling' not 'propelling'. Generally
speaking, getting off a climb is often more dangerous than the climb itself.
Rapelling off soomething I'd climbed, especially when the descent route was
different than the climb always gave me a severe case of the willies.

My daughter was born while I was just starting g-school and had daylight to
kill. She spent most of her waking hours for the first couple years at the
climbing gym or in the mountains. We have tons of snaps with her in the
baby carrier next to pile of rope, in the stroller by a belay point,
scrambling up walls before she could walk, climbing the fireplace to the
roof at age 3... Fair warning!

The S/O and I eventually moved on to a different outdoor pursuit (surfing &
kayaking) after I had a couple close calls with a frozen waterfall.
However, the daughter still wants to climb everything. The son who came
later naturally wants to spend all his waking moments in the water. Our
poor kids...

Best,

Thomas

I've been oppressively busy and haven't much to offer this week, but
here is my week 26 PAW. My daughter has taken up a new sport which
consist of climbing tall things like trees, buildings, bridges, and
mountain sides, and then propelling down them with a harness and rope.
The Kodak Supra 400 I used here has more contrast than I like.
