The prices were lowered to sell the last of them. You could have bought the
LTM version significantly cheaper than the M mount! Some have said the last
of the LTM lenses came bundled with a new M/LTM adapter as well.
Unfortunately very few were made and these will be collectibles for sure.
Unless Leica releases more which is unlikely as they had to discount them to
sell off the last ones. So I guess you will have to hunt like crazy RIGHT
NOW and you may get lucky.

These chaps still have the 50/1.4 LTM in stock but they are a grey market
dealer and so you will not get a rebate from Leica NJ. Still it is listed
about $80US cheaper than the regular 50/1.4M.

The LTM lenses were one H**** of a deal when they were blowing them out
there.
