Subject: [Leica] a flash primer

This is roughly akin to the English professor in the David Lodge novel,
- -Trading Places-, injudiciously admitting that he'd never read -Paradise
Lost-, but I admit that I've never used a flash with a Leica (or any other
camera, for that matter). I picked up a Sunpak 422 at the flea market a
while ago, and I want to start messing around with it, but I'm
clueless. Can anyone point me to a decent discussion about using flash
with non-TTL Ms? Can you use it for fill, for instance, and so on? Any
advice deeply appreciated.
