Subject: [Leica] Making a "black" cube

I was trying to make a standard array of artificially lighted 10 zone
display for the photo testing you guys have gotten me interested in.

I remember, years ago, there was an article, or maybe an ad, in Scientific
American about how to make something optically black. In this case it was a
cube with a circular hole which would photograph very very black indeed. The
instructions for making it were rather complex, as I recall and involved a
special coating on the inside of the box.

Does anyone else remember this?

Thanks

Adam
