Subject: [Leica] tripods in national parks

I will take the positive approach to tripods in national parks. In most
parks with a good attitude you can go about using your tripod. As Ted
suggested, when the smokies ask you to move on, you move on. The park
service is concerned about traffic flow and revenue, not necessarily in that
order. NANPA has been working this battle for quite a few years. I suggest
if you frequently are in the parks, especially the western ones that you
join NANPA to support the efforts to keep the parks open to all people and
not just the tour buses.

Oops, that sounded negative, didn't it.

For Marks sake
