In my experience the Tele-Elmarit is a fine lens, but even so, the latest
Elmarit is optically superior. That is the new lens's advantage, but its
disadvantage is that it's much larger and heavier than the extraordinarily
light and compact Tele-Elmarit, and therefore much less convenient to just
carry around in, say, a pocket.

Hello all .
I have the opportunity to buy the late version of the 90/2.8 ELMARIT M with
retractable hood .
I already own the previous version 90/2.8 TELE-ELMARIT ( rubber hood ) .

Is there any optical difference between those 2 and any advantage of buying
the new one ?
Thanks
