You must mean that the 28 isn't offered in chrome. The 24 is. (I have one.)

I use both a 35 Summicron and the 24 Elmarit on my M6s. The performance of
both is outstanding, as you might expect. The 24 will distort, as will the
28 if you're not careful or if you purposely want to take advantage of that
effect. With a little care, however, you can get "straight looking" shots
using the 24, so much so in fact that you might suspect they were made with
a 35.

As to the relative merits of both with respect to landscape photography,
I'll let the specialists weigh in on that since I have no experience in
that field. (No pun intended. Well, kind of.)
