Johnny,

I would take issue with the literal meaning of the above.  The Jewish
people's "great misfortune" was that a madman was able to convince great
numbers of ordinary people to help and/or tolerate his hate-inspired
genocidal impulses.  What you have quoted above was hardly more than a
transparent excuse. One does not deal with prominent bankers or
revolutionary intellectuals by torturing and slaughtering 6 million
innocent, non-combatant men, women, and little children.

I don't for one second believe you meant your above statement maliciously,
but for the historically naive, it is so easy inadvertently to seem to
sanitize something which is just plain inherently filthy and always will be.
