Just got back my first roll that I took with my "new" jupiter 12. It's a
35mm f2.8 biogon, and they're cheap...I got mine for about $60 and I may
have paid too much for it... Anyway, I'm impressed. It has a nice "look", I
don't really have a good way of explaining it. My 35mm asph f2 is certainly
sharper (subjectivly), higher in contrast, and less prone to flare...*but*
the jupiter is giving me something that I like... I'll have to shoot more to
figure out what it is...
On a related note, I need to shoot with my screw mount stuff more often.
A fair number of my shots came back under-exposed and I worried that I was
losing my "touch" of shooting without a light meter. When I checked my
camera, I realized what my mistake was... Those are not full stops on the
shutter dial:-) How soon I forget... Instead of dialing in 2 stops, it was
closer to 1 stop...oh well, guess I'll have to re-train myself...!
