Hi Douglas,
I am not much of a Black and White guy either but I attended a local
camera club meeting where Howard Bond gave a talk. His print were
incredible. He is very good at using neutral density masks to extend the
tonality range. He offers classes in Ann Arbor Michigan and somewhere else
if I recall. If I were you I would put him on that list.
