Luggers,
For those of you who can't get the new Kodak Supra 800 film yet. The
consumer version (read amateur) is Max 800. I've shot some, and it has a
finer grain than Ektapress 400. One of the photo fan magazines reviewed it
and said it had the grain of Kodak Gold 200.
The Supra 400 & 800 have replaced their Ektapress counterparts and here
new films. I'm not sure if Supra 100 and Ektapress 100 are the same film.,
It would be difficult to make a substantial improvement in Ektapress 100.
Bill Satterfield's idea about protecting your 15mm Super-Elmar-R is
getting an insurance policy on all your equipment. As a professional, I have
separate policy for all my equipment. My home owners won't cover it. Ask you
agent to be sure.
As for using filters with the 15mm Super-Elmar-R, try gelatin filters
taped to the rear or if you know a very very talented repairman, you can
replace the internal filters with gels of your choice.
Cheers,
Sal
