I just had this crazy idea after I saw some of the Soviet fakes of the
screwmout Leicas.
I thought a modern M would look great if gold-plated and my camera is not a
collector's piece so I do not care much about its looks (if I did, I would
have the black re-done and I would take the dent out of it, if possible).
Don't you think a golden body would go great with the black leather and the
big windows?

Andre, you best have the Nomex coveralls and asbestos underwear ready, the
flames are probably going to get pretty high on the LUG over your
question.
I beleive the M4-P has a zinc based cast top, and I seem to recall reading
on the LUG a year or so back that is very hard to get the black chrome
off, in order to do any kind of plating.
The big question is..............Why??
