C. E. Workman Jr. jotted down the following:
> "Transmute"????
To change one form, nature, substance, or state into another.
Compare with "transmogrify" (which on the whole is a much tastier word)
To change into a different shape or form, especially one that is
fantastic or bizarre.
Does anyone know if Calvin & Hobes was actually the source of the second
word?
