Ja, und Putz= ornament, bauble. hence- the Yiddish slang meaning "yer olde

( I can remember telling a Jewish friend that I was going to my brother's
church (Moravian) to see The Putz- a collection of ornaments and decorations
depicting Christmas stories... I suppose I will never see a human eyebrow go
quite that high again!!! :O}~ )
