Having just had a go round with with D Khong about some of this stuff I
wanted to post this idea which came out of it.

That the R8 is not a bad camera, it's just a tad big and is perceived as
being a loser. Like the M5.
With the M5 bombing Leica went back a step. The results are why most of
us are here.
With the R8 the same thing could be done. They go back to previous
designs. But I think the better idea is to just come out with an R9 that
is scaled down to match other camera sizes and with a built in
moterdrive. If Minolta can't help like before that there are others;
Sigma, Nikon...
