. . .perhaps the solution for Leica is to offer their cameras in "regular"
and
"premium" or "deluxe" versions, priced accordingly. That way the
not-so-particular
buyer can get a cheaper Leica and take his/her chances with having to return
it for
some defect, etc. and the perfectionist can get a "perfect" example: tested
- - with scratch-free
test strip and/or lens test results, each camera/lens stamped with the
builder's
initials (Porsche used to do this with their engines?) .
Just kidding, of course. sam
