Andreas,
The camera does not send an "impulse" to the strobe. It mearly closes a =
circuit for a split second, causing the strobe to flash. It could be a =
bad connection, bad synch cord, etc. If the setup works with another =
camera, or when shorting the cord, then your camera is at fault. It =
happens.=20
Yesterday I bought an adapter to allow the use of ordinary synch cords =
with my M3. It cost $7.00.
Good luck,
Joe Stephenson

Subject: [Leica] flash connections problems M4-P and M3
=20
=20
Dear Friends,
=20
I have bought a small studio lighting outfit (2xMultiblitz 200 and =
one 400) I am now testing it mainly with my Hasselblad for portraits. =20
=20
I also want to use my Leicas. These are my questions:
=20
a) M4-P: after a few shots my camera stopped to give impulses to the =
strobe. Does not seem to be dirty contacts otherwise I should have done =
nothing from the start. Any idea how I can solve this or am I obliged to =
go a prof. repair job.
=20
b) M3 do you know if there are any adapter cables becausee of the =
old type of jacks?
=20
Thanks in advance=20
=20
Andreas
