The issue re the light weight shutter I have often puzzled over; the =
only reference I ever came across was the bald notation on pg 135 of the =
Pocket Book. Nothing seen elsewhere to amplify - offers please.=20
------------------------------------
Van Hasbroeck's book mentions that the IIIF red dial had a =
"completely new redesigned shutter (lighter and with less
bounce). Also says that the new shutter speeds for the IIIF RD =
were the THEN INTERNATIONAL ones.
Comparison of IIIF BD (black dial) and IIIF RD (red dial) shutter =
speeds are given below:
BD: T, 1, 1/2, 1/4, 1/10, 1/15, 1/20, 1/30, 1/40, 1/60, 1/100, =
1/200, 1/500, 1/1000, B
RD: T, 1, 1/2, 1/5, 1/10, 1/15, 1/25, 1/50, 1/75, 1/100, =
1/200, 1/500, 1/1000, B
=20
=20
Notice how there is one less slow shutter speed on the Red Dial with =
the 1/25th
second speed fitting between the 1/20th and 1/30th speed of the =
Black Dial.
