I saw a coffe table book of photos of cathedral gargoyles once.
The photographer was identified a "F-stop Fitzgerald". Groan.

Occasionally one gets asked to write under a pseudonym (usually when one's
written several articles for the same issue, and the editor doesn't want
it to look like a benefit).
My favourite to date has been Armand d'Illot (say it quickly :-)), but the
next time this happens in a non-photographic journal, I think I'll be
Elmar Snooky. :-)
