the mystery is that in july 1997 thare was a lens with serial number after I say
afer
the serial number of a lens produced in april 1998.
If this for you is normal...

|Subtracting the two numbers we come up with a difference of 17,248. At face
|value it seems that there are more Summicron 35/2 ASPH out there than
|Tri-Elmars. This makes sense given that the ASPH has been available longer.
