Whoa ;-)! I came within a "cat's whisker" of ordering one 
of the new R-50 f1.4s today; I think I'll hold off a little while
longer until more evidence accumulates.

This is not what I'd expect from Leica; unless, this is
a characteristic of the Summilux design. I only own one 
Summilux; the 80 f1.4 & it's center sharpness at f1.4 & 
f2 seem fairly good.
