This reminds me of a story related to me by our Nikon rep... He was at
a "compition" for photojournalists in Richmond, VA. They brought in
some bigwig from the left coast to judge the thing. Aparantly, you
could have heard a pin drop when it was announced that there were no
winners! The judge remarked that it looked like everyone let their
motordrives go, and hoped they got a shot. They managed to put images
on film but there wasn't a good photo in the lot...
If you're looking for decent doc photography, check out a magaine
called "doubletake". I believe it's published by Duke (?) department of
documentary studies...or something like that...:-)
