Yes, I understand that. (The B.S. in physics at least taught me that much.) But with Leica lenses this happens WIDE OPEN.
Is this a characteristic of "diffraction limited" lenses? I know that on a telescope the sharpness of the Airy disk is an indication of the optical quality.
