Actually, the lens that is the equivalent of the magnification of our eyes
is a 43mm lens according to some writers I've read. But you have a good
point. We see a lot on the edges that isn't sharp at all. And a longer
focal length would approximate the angle we look at that's reasonably
sharp. Not sure what the exact focal length is, but you're on the right track.
