Subject: Leatheret on M and R

     Hi,
     
      I noticed the other day that vulcanite on one of my M4 was lifted and 
     bowed up.  That reminded me of several of my M bodies that have 
     missing vulcanite.  I thought about my Leica reflexes including R 
     bodies.  I have never seen any Leicaflex or R bodies missing 
     leatherette.  What would be the difference between M and Reflex 
     leatherette?  Why do we see missing leatherette exclusively on M 
     bodies?
