     One warning about using Metz units with the Leica R8 and SCA 3501
     adapter: The 32Z-2 is not compatible with the Metz off-camera cord. I
     found this out the hard way. Bogen (the US distributer) had to contact
     Metz, Germany to get verification that this combination will not work
     (the flash charging indication in the R8 blinks continuously). The
     32MZ-3 is the least costly Metz flash that is compatible with the
     off-camera cord. If you're planning to do any macro/close-up
     photography, this could be a concern. Being forced to buy a flash unit
     and off-camera cord with autofocus illuminator for the R8 is a bit
     galling but then maybe Leica will be surprising us with an R8 AF
     variant (he says with fingers crossed) someday.
