I don't believe they did anything against this....*couldn't* do, as
one of the major advantages of a pellicle mirror is an uninterrupted
view through the viewfinder (aka optica non-interruptus).

Yep, mirrors do leak light....you can see this from all sides,
through the lens, film chamber viewfinder, with mirror up in bulb
mode and a strong light in the viewfinder or lens respectively.
