Hi Ferdinand,
This has been thrashed about for some time on here. The M6 has, to most
folk that own them, has been an extremely reliable performer. The argument
whether they are now made more cheaply than before has adherents on both
sides.
Most of us just put film in them and shoot them without a whimper from the
camera. Those who post otherwise are listened to with respect for their
particular problems, I think, because their problems are not typical.
To me, if I were you, the bigger issue would be: Will I like the camera?
It will represent a major change from all that you have used thus far. If
you could rent one for a few days or longer, it would be worthwhile.
