I regularly use LTM lenes on M bodies. There is NO problem with focus near
or far. In point of fact, at one time some lenses sold by Leica in M mount
were really LTM lenses with factory installed adapters.

However-I think that you would have a problem with SOOKY windows aligning
properly on an M body.
