     Hi,
     
      I thought the same but recently I saw a chrome M4-2 in one of the 
     camera shows in the Bay area and an ad.  I do not remember the name of 
     the dealer but think it was Camerapal.  His website is 
     www.camerapal.com.

Hello David,
     
To the best of my knowledge there ha never been produced a chrome 
M4-2.
