If you are looking at a short range requirement, Colin, such as a 25
or at most a 50 yard pistol range, binocs will suffice. Longer
ranges, e.g. 100, 200 yard and longer rifle ranges are best served by
a regular range type 10 to 30X spotting scope as sold for the
purpose.
